parks for a day

Park(ing) Day NYC is an effort of the new york city streets renaissance which offers individuals and groups small grants to turn more than 50 parking spots throughout new york city's 5 boroughs into human friendly places for a single day. these small temporary public spaces provide a breath of relief from the auto-clogged reality of new york city, and aim to spark a dialogue about our valuable public space and how we choose to use it. to learn more visit parkingdaynyc.org

The Battelion Collection is helping to save us

If one can’t save the world by just looking good, one should at least not harm it. The Battalion Collection uses unconventional fabric not only allowing them to offer tailored, stylish clothing that is as cozy as your favorite jammies, it even feels good on your conscience. 95% of The Battalion collection is made from certified organically grown material, primarily bamboo. Modern cotton production relies heavily on pesticides that threaten the health of agricultural workers. It is also responsible for the toxins that end up in the air, soil, and water we use. The perfect tee of today is tailored, well designed and made from sustainable resources.
