Lula

the 8th issue of lula with two covers
past covers of lula

Fed up with the usual fashion magazine? Then Lula magazine launched by fashion
Voguette Leith Clark will make a refreshing change. It's aimed at those who have a love for fashion, film & art, and who simple like to get dressed up. The magazine consists of long, dream-like shoots & series of illustrations.

Daniel Gray has started a flickr group of covers and spreads from the legend that is The Face magazine. Often referred to as the "80s fashion bible", The Face was successful at keeping a finger on the pulse of youth culture, much in the way I-D does today. Famed designer and typographer Neville Brody was Art Director from 1981-1986 although it's best-selling period was in the mid 90s under editor Richeard Benson. The magazine shut down in 2004 due to too many competitors and poor ad revenue. I have only two issues which I referred to constantly in my senior year of design school- even 5 years later, they are groundbreaking in terms of photography, design, and styling.

"Night Moves" fashion story in this month's XLR8R mag

this is a pal of mine: since again's amanda ford who's art work is equally as radical.
her style has never let me down and always keeps me guessing.
we collaborate sometime to create fun stuff for our side project lunar lover which i posted about before and a zine photography project called hunt yo! that is working itself out, so watch out!!
